QuickBooks Checks, and other business checks, theirs always something to learn.

There's so many faucets to create, print, and design your business checks. Your looking at software, printers, press, inks, designs, formats, and more. For someone that wants to do it on your own. We advise not to do it, and we'll explain why.

Did you know that business checks paper is almost like the paper used for cash. Theirs business check paper that is already created in the press with the security features on a plain white sheet of paper. That is more for the lower end check security.

When you buy blank business checks. The security features are already made into the paper so your ready to go with your software to create your own checks. Blank business checks have several different security features made into it.

Ordering QuickBooks business checks that are imprinted may go through a press, and or a digital press machine. What is the difference? The difference is the ink/colors that can be used for imprinting. With a press, the paper is already made to the security specs. It uses the PSM, for a true good-looking color for your color logo. It will look like it just came out of a laser printer. The digital imprint looks good, but it will look like you're printing from an inkjet printer and the blacks may look greyer than the true color. With a digital imprint it will still look good, but it could be better.

We had briefly changed vendors to offer more options. 20 Check colors, 50 different pantographs, and 50 borders. We did some orders with the new vendor. It took on avg of about 3 business days to get the checks imprinted and shipped, but the quality look was different as it was printed on a digital press. Choice Checks is all about saving money to ourselves and customers as inflation is making everything so expensive. We know this vendor and has been great, but wasn't ideal for our customers with the feedback we received. So we did go back to our old vendor where orders can be printed shipped out next business day while they are using laser printers to overlay onto the blank paper.

That was a huge difference. We are always learning as we go. 18 years into the business, this was a learning curve but a good one. There are several security layers to select from as well. Good, better, best, and high security that will more than likely contain a hologram square. That is the best as it gets and please, always use a laser printer to print your information.

You may have heard of versacheck software. They allow you to make, create your own checks. You must have the right setup for it to work, you must buy their paper, that comes with a validation code, in order to print the checks with their software. You must buy a printer that is capable of using their MICR ink/toner. You will not be able to buy blank checks and just use it with versacheck, as its their trademark. You must use everything in their own ecosystem.

As a business. If your customer pays you with a check, and it will not scan in your check scanner. It isn't compliant with the laws. That check wasn't created correctly and i wouldn't accept it. Each of the checks that are created must have the special MICR line with the MICR toner. It allows the check to be scanned through the reader and or bank. If a bank can't scan the check. That check may be rejected.

Did you know that certain accounting software, you can change the layout on the check. When you buy QuickBooks checks. It's always a good idea to provide what accounting program your using, so that way, we know how to print the imprinted check correctly to match your program. Sage software, you are able to manipulate the check some.

When ordering your quickbooks checks. Select the check on top format, security levels or features, place the order, and also provide a copy of your starter check/voided check. That will ensure that the info is valid plus we know where to put the MICR line.

The MICR LINE. For business checks. The check number is always to the left, then then routing number, account number. There can be spaces between the routing and account number. so, without a copy, it's hard for us to know. When ordering, provide as much info as possible.

Custom business checks. Ohh boy. Custom checks can be extremely detailed. Details as is it for Quickbooks checks, or another accounting program. What kind of overlay picture do you need. The exact PMS colors for them. How many colors, security features, and it goes on and on. Its best to call/email the details before placing the order, due to the fees that could be assed in a custom check to match your business. It's no problem at all to do it, but it can take time the first round to get everything correct before printing/processing and shipping. Then the next order will be a lot smoother and easy, as we'll have everything on file as a template for your business needs.

There was a survey that was done, and business checks are still extremely useful for business at a rate of 81% today. Even though the personal checks are decling, but for business, the checks is still one of their main methods of payments to vendors, employees and etc.... Its still very good to have a paper trail. Yes the paper check is still very secure and used alot. What if the internet goes out. Hmm... You can still pay someone via check. If the whole internet goes down, well that's another issue there.

Electronic payments may be faster, and easier, but can be hard to narrow down with some business. Old fashion methods are still preferred. Today's technology is great, but so many hackers are doing damages to other business. Can't hack a check or cash.

The economy is changing at a fast rate. There's so much to learn in the accounting world. Theirs alot to learn about business checks as well. How they are printed, what method, and what kind of quality. Its best to let the professionals do the work and let us help you to make your business look good.
